Most know Anoushka Shankar as a classical musician. However, the sitar player enjoys a wide variety of music and has even dabbled in different genres. “I play classical music and also do a lot of experimental music,” says Anoushka, “My last two albums, Rise and Breathing Under Water were not classical.” Anoushka’s half-sister Norah Jones achieved much success as a pop star. Does Anoushka plan on making a pop album, too? “If I did get into pop music, it wouldn’t have anything to do with my sister,” she smiles, “That would be because of me.” More in this video.
