Hollywood inspired by Rock On!

Rock On!! is a one-of-its-kind movie as this is the first Bollywood film, which has used rock music as its premise. But this trend is not new in Hollywood. However, they are using the title ‘Rock On’ for the first time in one of their flicks. Speculations are also rife that the film is inspired by Farhan Akhtar’s debut film Rock On!!
A musical-comedy-romance film, the film was earlier titled Will and there have been murmurs that Bandslam was the latest title in discussions. Starring Gaelan Connell, Lisa Kudrow, Alyson Michalka and Vanessa Hudgens, the film (just like the Bollywood version starring Farhan Akhtar, Prachi Desai, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny, Shahana Goswami and Koel Puri) tells the story about a group of friends coming together and forming a rock band.
This seems to be the correct example of West meeting East and we hope such things happen quite often as its always the other way round.

1. Stewy SinghThis movie could be about anything. Just because its about a group of friends coming together doesn’t mean its a direct inspiration. Movies with that theme are made all the time.
2. Fedora DeSouzaI, my friends and many other people all over the world are inspired with the movie Rock On. I love each and every part of the movie including all th song, esp the last one. Prachi Desai is gonna Rock Bollywood very soon and I hope Hollywood too. All the others also acted well.

Yeah right, the movie name was confirmed months ago, ever since March. Now suddenly Bollywood sites all asume it’s based on the title of “Rock On!!”… Besides, the film was renamed to ‘BANDSLAM’ ever since early August, so there goes the comparison

5. Lowb1llThere is nothing new to this or any bollywood film. All are copied from great Hollywood movies. I saw a song or a trailer or something about this film. It’s a disgrace to the great & epic Rock music genre. So I’d tell all the bollywood industry say grow up & make some of your own films like you did till the 90’s & get a new name for your copy cat industry. We just need to change the 1st letter to make the east to west.
