Kareena Shahid in Jab we MetShahid Kapur was a bundle of nerves while shooting an intimate scene with Kareena Kapoor .

The scene was being shot for Imtiaz Ali’s film Jab We Met , which has Shahid and Kareena playing two strangers who fall in love while traveling together.

It was an intimate scene and required proper chemistry between Shahid and Kareena. Already accused of their lack of onscreen chemistry, Shahid wanted to give his best to the scene.

But then, to his utter surprise, his dad Pankaj Kapur , an authority on acting, came on the sets to watch his son’s performance. As the senior Kapur sat before the monitor to gauge Shahid’s acting, the junior got nervous.

Despite trying his best, Shahid couldn’t bring the required expression and stoke up enough passion. After repeated attempts, Shahid gave up and walked to his father and had a few private words with him.

Pankaj Kapur understood Shahid’s nervousness and moved away from the monitor. In fact, he no longer watched his son’s performance.

Consequently, Shahid managed to focus fully on the scene with Kareena and gave a perfect shot.

‘Jab We Met’ has Shahid playing a heartbroken, rich industrialist. Kareena plays a Punjabi girl on the run.

The movie is set to hit the theatres on October 19.
