Katrina KaifAccording to reports, Katrina Kaif is now charging 1.5 crore for an item number in Blue. If the rumours are to be believed, she is probably the highest-paid actress for an item song. Katrina’s career took off last year, with all four of her films being blockbusters. Obviously, the producers of Blue had a reason to give in to her demands. Furthermore, reports say they have even offered Katrina a couple of scenes in the film just to avoid the ‘item girl’ tag. Being made at an approximate budget of 100 crore, the film has Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Lara Dutta in the lead.

Apparently, Kats also got an offer from Ekta Kapoor to do an item number for her forthcoming venture, C Company. Kats declined the offer as the Balaji Telefilms honcho didn’t have the kind of money Katrina demanded. Are Mallika, Bipasha, Rakhi and Malaika listening?
