After being through a disastrous run at the box office in the form of ‘Kyun Ho Gaya Na’ and ‘Shabd’, and being overshadowed by Mallika Sherawat’s skimpy outfits at the Cannes film festival, finally here’s some good news for the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai and her fans.
Our desi beauty has been ranked as one of the ten most beautiful women of the world by the Harpers & Queen magazine.
Topping the list was Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie; the others in the top ten list include Christy Turlington, Queen Rania of Jordan, Sofia Coppola, Nigella Lawson, Uma Thurman, Emmanuelle Béart, Kate Moss, Aishwarya Rai and Charlotte, of Monaco.

1. Khushicongrts to her..but honestly its these type of things that pushes her ego even further..she is not that pretty i mean c’mon…I think Priyanka, Priety are all gorgeous too….aish’s ego will never die if she keeps getting this type of praise, poor Abhishek…

SharmilaThe concept and perception of beauty is changing worldwide,its fast becoming Beauty with a purpose, e.g Angelina Jolie who has adopted an entourage of children who she lovingly nurtures, Chef Nigella Lawson whose passion is pots and pans and not Lipstick. Queen Raina Of Jordan who has dedicated her life to her country. Merely having outward beauty and being so aware of oneself is not a positive trait, I would call it vanity.
3. sapnaBesides we Indians have such varied beauty within the nation,Whatever happened to the likes of Gayatri Devi, Sushmita Sen, Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra, Hema Malilni, Arundhati Roy, Anushka Shankar, Ujwala Raut,Rekha and Padma lakshmi. Give us true representation of Indian Beauty - dusky skin, dark eyes, cascading hair, of course loads of Indian appeal and a **** heart. Indians who idolise the west and even ape a fake Brit accent are so passe even if the polls say so. Hats off to Ash’s good PR team in the west, they are doing a great job.
She giggles too much,speaks with a fake accent wears loads of make up and even sports a fake tan these days.Loves to pass off as British or a westerner.
4. angelNoticed her on television trying to grab loads of attention at the Cannes festival this year,she walked down the isle at Cannes literally dragging Abhishek and left him somewhere half way and joined another group of ppl who were being photographed .Beauty should be elegant and timeless and ofcourse one should have a beautiful heart the rest one can manage with make up and designer labels.I think Princess Diana epitomises timeless beauty and elegance everyone else pales in comparision.She will never be forgotten .
I do agree that Aishwarya is beautiful & she has worked hard to get where she is today but now its time to move on to someone else as she is almost 35yrs old & give a chance to others. I do agree with Sharmilla that what happened to the real Indian beauty like Ujjwala Raut who also has so much recognization internationally or Bipasha Basu who actually worked very hard to get where they are today, unlike Aishwarya who had too many Godfathers to take care. Thats bullshit & making us bored…….
5. mariaexactly….whats wrong with the world??? there r lots of other beautiful women in bollywood. shes gotten old, but madhuri dixit was simply to die for in her day. there priyanka chopra, even sushmita sen. drop dead gorgeous (no, i aint *******) aishwaryas just a bimbo, with a damn good marketing manager. theres nothing ****..or even attractive…abt a dumb woman (and green eyes for that matter)
6. aparna rajCorrect,all of us women may sound jealous,but actually we are bored,gone are the days where beauty was just supposed to be fixated on light eyes and fair skin.Personality is what over powers beauty,Millions of ppl worldwide sport the caucasian look,she would be one of the crowd if she were to walk down the streets abroad and no one would even notice unless she introduced herself,she is a clone and thats it.She should improve her acting skills and get into charitable activities.

i don’t really agree with the other comments. Aishwarya is the the most beautiful lady. she posses all the qualities.she is so charming, she is still my favorite one. She deserves to be the most the most beautiful lady! even if she is 35 years now, she looks young n Charming!

hey guys give me a break!!! com on i admitt ash got nice features n body but 9th most beautiful she actually dont deserve it .. i mean its just the new trand of praisy dusky skins n all ppl who hvnt seen ash say.. shez beautiful its just her grooming and our presaption which made her seem beautiful .. i mean she got nothing to excite a man to level wher he can say , oh she is one of the beautiful gal in world i mean com on tr are several more beautifull gals than her…i mean breath taking beauties even without such grooming as ash got in bollywood
