Aishwarya and AbhishekAs if the flak Jhoom Barabar Jhoom received from critics wasn’t enough now there is some more bad news for Abhishek Bachchan.  Apparently while watching the screening of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom Abhishek and Ash got so excited that they started throwing coins on the screen.

This act of throwing coins at the screen during a special preview of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom at Imax Adlabs did not go well with the invitees as most of coins landed on the heads of the people sitting in the front row.

Every time, Abhishek would appear on screen, both husband and wife would toss coins and make noise cheering Abhishek which disturbed the other dignitaries present for the special screening. Even director Shaad Ali’s close aides failed to calm the couple and made them understand that they were actually making viewing difficult for the other people.

As a reputed filmmaker explains, ‘ After some time I felt like collecting those coins and throwing them back at Abhishek. He was too thrilled and did not realize that the coins were landing on our heads. They needed good aiming skills for the coins to land at the screen.’

The screening was organized for the stars and their families but Abhishek and Aishwarya had come with potlis of small denomination coins and kept flinging at the screen throughout. Despite repeated requests from the staff and others, Abhi- Ash refused to take their seats and continued to scamper near the aisle. Abhishek was so mad with excitement about the film that he continued hooting, giggling and dancing with Aishwarya throughout the film. But this was making life difficult for other dignitaries.

However, other cast members like Bobby Deol and Lara Dutta maintained their cool and looked sober throughout the film. But Preity Zinta did join the gang and could be seen cheering loudly along with Abhishek and Aishwarya. Others like Nikhil Advani, Rohan Sippy, Kunal Kohli, Sanjay Gadhvi, Pooja Bedi and Niharika Khan were enjoying the film but did not go to the extent of disturbing others at the theatre.

Abhishek Bachchan and his better half Aishwarya Rai might be very excited about the film but the common theatre going public is not very excited about it. The reports suggest that the film did not have a very good opening as might be expected from a Yashraj film with such a huge star cast. Even the presence of Big B in Jack Sparrow get up has failed to do any wonder at the box office.

Perhaps hoi polloi is not prepared to Jhoom with Abhi, what say??
