It was a night of glitz, glamour and substance, a night that celebrated womanhood in all its glory. Twenty-four women achievers from various fields were felicitated at a grand function at the ITC Hotel, The Maratha on Tuesday night. Anu and Shashi Ranjan, who organised the event, looked after their high-profile celebrity guests who came to celebrate the achievements. Hrithik Roshan’s presence caused quite a frenzy at the venue; he took time off from his hectic schedule to be there to present Nita Ambani with an award. The graceful Waheeda Rehman, who was accompanied by her daughter, was paid a tribute by TV actress Surveen Chawla who danced to the hit numbers of the yesteryear actress. Yash Chopra gave away Waheeda’s award and they shared camaraderie on stage.
