Shwetha Menon withdraws complaint against MP
Kochi: For the last few days Malayalam actress Shweta Menon has been in the news and that too for not a good reason! She had filed a complaint a couple of days back against Peethambara Kurup, MP. She complained that the MP has molested her publicly during a boat race. But now the actress has withdrawn the complaint. The 39 years old actress also mentioned that she has not been pressurized to withdraw the complaint.
The Kerala Chief Minister sought clarification about the incident, but the Congress party was there in support of MP Peethambara Kurup. Shweta is not only an actress but also a model and television anchor. She is mostly popular in the Malayalam film industry but worked in few Tamil as well as Hindi projects too. She started her career in films in 1990s after joining the Malayalam film industry, after which she did work as a model and that soon led her to debut in Bollywood.
After working in B-Town in 30 films she returned to Malayalam film industry and started accepting only substantial roles. She was last seen in the movie “Careebeyans” and “Kalimannu” which released in 2013, and both are Malayalam films. Her forthcoming movies are “Platform No.1” and “100 Degree Celsius”.
