Imran Khan: When you stretch your limits, your limits get enhanced
Pune: After 5 long years, Imran Khan recently visited Nagpur and cant stop himself from cherishing the memories of his first visit to the city. He visited the city first time, before the release of his debut movie “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na”. Aamir Khan too accompanied him. And he was really motivated to see the response of the audience who gathered outside the Times office of Nagpur.
All were screaming, shouting and cheering at the cast and crew. Some people even followed their car wherever they went in the city. There was an enthusiasism in the people which could not be missed! Imran prior to setting his feet in the land of acting as a hero, did theatres too. He debuted with a controversial play in English in 2009.
And during the shoot of “Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola”, the actor attended the workshop of NK Sharma. He said working on the controversial English play was comfortable for him, as he was grown up in a similar environment. But then workshop with NK Sharma made him get acquainted with places he was not familiar with. It helped him to stretch his limits and boundaries. And while doing Hindi theatre, he also learnt a bit of Haryanvi. Also his role of playing a desi boy in “Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola” helped him immensely to work better for the forthcoming movie “Gori Tere Pyaar Mein”.
