Yash Chopra admitted in Hospital
Mumbai: Bollywood’s noted film makers Yash Chopra was admitted in Mumbai’s Lilawati hospital due to Dengue attack. A spokesperson from Yash Raj Films in a press statement giving daily updates said, “Mr Yash Chopra was admitted to hospital yesterday after being diagnosed with an attack of dengue. He has been kept under observation. He is feeling much better and should be home soon.”
Yash Chopra is eagerly looking forward to the release of his latest directorial venture “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” that stars Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead. But unfortunately was admitted to Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra here after being diagnosed with dengue on Sunday. Earlier there were reports that the legendary filmmaker was suffering from multi-organ failure.
Doctors who examined Yash reveled that Chopra’s platelets have gone down to 20 thousand due to Dengue attack. And if sources are to be believed, Chopra is on ventilator and is also going through dialysis.Yash Chopra has given several hits in his more than five decade old career like Deewar, Kabhie Kabhie, Trishul, Silsila, Chandni and Veer Zaara.
The veteran filmmaker celebrated his 80th birthday recently and announced his retirement from film direction. “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” is slated to release on November 13, 2012.
