Arjun Kapoor in Okkadu remake
Mumbai: Arjun Kapoor has been roped to play the lead role in the Hindi remake of “Okkadu” a Telegu movie. His role has been played by Mahesh Babu in the original. This Mahesh Babu film is a 2003 release, and now Boney Kapoor is eyeing on remaking the film with his son in the lead role. Arjun Kapoor has already proved his talent in the debut movie “Ishaqzaade” and hence he will be reprising the role of the Telegu superstar.
This is the first time, Arjun will be working with his dad Boney Kapoor. In fact Boney always wanted to do a film with his son, so he kept on looking for the right script. And recently Boney purchased the film rights. “Okkadu” has already been remade in Tamil and Kannada languages, thus Boney thought it is the right movie to be remade in Hindi. And as Arjun is already a hot property of Bollywood, he can perfectly play the lead role in the film.
In the original film, Bhoomika Chawla played the female lead, and hearing the remaking news, she felt happy and said it will be a pleasure for her to watch the Hindi version of the movie. The rest of the cast of the remake film is not yet decided upon.
