Shatrughna Sinha admitted in Hospital
Mumbai: Bollywood star Shatrughna Sinha who is popular as Shot Gun and also for his frank and candid remarks as BJP MP was today admitted to a hospital in suburban Andheri here following respiratory disorder, doctors attending on him said. The 66-year-old actor turned politician was rushed to the Kokilaben hospital this afternoon after he complained of breathlessness due to some ongoing paint work at his residence, they said.
Doctors said he is stable and was responding to treatment. Apart from being member of Rajya Sabha twice he was also Union Cabinet Minister of Health and Family Welfare (Jan 2003-May 2004) and Shipping (Aug. 2004). He was elected to 15th Lok Sabha in 2009.
Dr Ram Narain of Kokilaben hospital says, “He came to the hospital complaining of breathing problems. He had allergic respiratory disorder. He was given appropriate treatment and is stable now”.
Sinha will under observation and spend the night in the hospital following which a decision on when to discharge him will be taken tomorrow, doctors said. Sinha is married to Punam Sinha and has two sons and a daughter Sonakshi Sinha, , Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha. Sonakshi is making rapid strides in Bollywood scoring sucessive hits with her beauty while Luv is also an aspiring star.
