Ranbir Kapoor wants to make a Sports based Movie
Mumbai: ‘Barfi’ boy Ranbir Kapoor revealed his desire and dream to star in a sports based film. Speaking to media he said, “I would love to do a film on football, hockey, boxing, kabaddi or anything as long as it has an interesting story build upon it.” Elaborating further on the film he says, “A film is only made if there is an engaging story behind it. If you are just making a film for sports without an engaging story, then it doesn’t matter.” The 29-year-old spoke on the sidelines of NDTV’s ‘Marks For Sports 2′ campaign.
Ranbir a sports buff says it is important to indulge in one kind of sport to remain healthy. He explains the importance of sports saying, “My favourite sport has been football. I love playing football, but now I don’t get time to play football. I am upset about it because I also feel that to live a healthy lifestyle you must play a sport, you must be active. “A healthy lifestyle comprises good sleep, good sport and good exercise,” he added.
Ranbir is part of NDTV and Nirmal Lifestyle’s second year of ‘Fit India Movement’, wherein each city will have one fitness or sports personality as their city ambassadors — Bipasha Basu (Mumbai), Virender Sehwag (Delhi), Sania Mirza (Hyderabad), Baichung Bhutia (Kolkata), Mahesh Bhupathi (Bangalore) and Vijender Singh (Chandigarh). Ranbir said: “It’s really interesting that all these people are coming together for this campaign to build a healthier country. I hope we will be successful.”
