Dara Singh Passed Away at 84
Mumbai: Famous wrestler and actor Dara Singh passed away, after struggling with his life for 5 days. He passed away on 12th July early morning. Singh who was 84 years old was taken back to his home last night by his family from hospital so that he could spend the rest of his lifetime with family and friends. Dr Ram Narain of Kokilaben hospital reported that Dara Singh passed away peacefully at 7:30 a.m. today. He was admitted in the ICU, when he was taken to hospital on 7th of July after he got a cardiac arrest.
During his lifetime, Dara Singh had been inspiring people from different walks of life, as he triumphed against all odds of life. Some love him as a wrestler, while others are fond of the cine artist Dara Singh. His acting career is 5 decades long, and he had featured in 140 movies.
He also appeared in classic movies like “Anand” and “Mera Naam Joker” He was a famous wrestler, hero of B grade action movies, and he is also fondly remembered as the Hanuman in the TV blockbusters like “Ramayana” and “Mahabharata”. His last film was Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor starrer “Jab We Met” where he played the role of ‘Daarji’, the stern yet lovable head of the close-knit family.
