Sanjay Dutt gets an image makeover for Soham Shah’s next
Mumbai: Sanju baba who was at logger heads with Ram Gopal Varma after the disastrous ‘Department’ is back to his old ways. Sanjay who played a menacing bulky villian Kancha Cheena in ‘Agneepath’ which won rave reviews is undergoing rapid image change for Soham Shah’s upcoming directorial venture. The film produced by Shree Ashtvinayak Cine Visions Ltd, Shah examines underworld in the Pink City and Sanjay will play a 1970s Gujarat-based don.
The film which is yet to be titled is fast progressing with scenes being shot in Jaipur in the backdrop of huge grandiose sets comprising of massive mine with tunnels, chimneys and trains to give it a look of 1970s era and to make sure it is in sync with Sanjay’s role. Soham Shah attained fame for his ‘Kaal’ and ‘Luck’ speaking to media said “The character has a lot of power, and I wish to portray Sanjay Dutt on the lines of his esteemed father Sunil Dutt saab.” “I wouldn’t have made this film if Sanjay wouldn’t have done it as only someone like him can carry this kind of character!”.
Film’s songs are expected to be canned in Mumbai and is expected to wind up shooting in 50 days. Vivek Oberoi, Paresh Rawal and actress Humaima Mallick, best remembered for Pakistani film “Bol” are featuring in the film which is expected to release in December.
