Farhan Akhtar has no plans for ZNMD Sequel
Mumbai: Farhan Akhtar has recently announced he is not planning on making a sequel of “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara”. ZNMD was awarded 9 prizes at International Indian Film Academy (IIFA). But Farhan says getting awards is not an enough reason behind making a sequel of ZNMD. This year’s IIFA was hosted by Farhan Akhtar himself along with Shahid Kapoor. And he is definitely happy with the response ZNMD received from IIFA.
The film received many technical awards, also Zoya Akhtar received best director award for the film. The film also bagged the best film award and best screenplay award. Currently Farhan is busy with his upcoming film “Talaash” which is scheduled to release in November. The film has Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in lead roles and is directed by Reema Kagti. Zoya Akhtar once expressed her desire to make a sequel of ZNMD, even Hrithik Roshan seemed to be interested in the idea of sequel.
But now we hear Farhan is not thinking of making a sequel. ZNMD also had Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin, apart from Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar in leading roles. ZNMD received several awards at award shows Asian Film Awards, Zee Cine Awards, Stardust Awards, Filmfare Awards.
