Jairam Ramesh, Union Minister, has decided on Vidya Balan to be the brand ambassador of this awareness campaign. Vidya is calling the campaign as “Clean Picture”, just the opposite of her super hit film “Dirty Picture”. She recently had a meeting with Rural development minister Ramesh ji. Sanitation issues pose a threat to women’s health and security, and this national movement is going to end the menace, says the minister. Vidya is determined to put in her best, to eradicate sanitation hazards, she feels honoured to be the brand ambassador of a national campaign. She is the first ambassador of ministry said Ramesh.
In the ad film, she will be propagating construction of toilets and proper usage of it. She has already signed a contract for 2 years. The name of the campaign is “Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan”. Ramesh thinks Vidya’s presence in the ad films will make the campaign popular and spread awareness nationally.
