SRK promotes Kolkata Film Festival without any fees
Kolkata: Shah Rukh Khan who is the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders has developed a special interest in the city. He has agreed to take part in the Kolkata Film Festival without any fees. The festival is being inaugurated at the Netaji Indoor Stadium on Thursday.
SRK agreed to be a special guest as per the request of Mamata Banerjee who is the Chief Minister of West Bengal. This was informed by Nandini Chakraborty who is the Cultural Department Secretary. The budget of the festival is Rs 2.75 crore.
Along with SRK, Sharmila Tagore, Santhosh Sivan, Nandana Sen, Ananth Mahadevan and Ketan Mehta will be present at the event which will last for eight days.There will be screening of 150 movies across 50 countries.
The Baazigar of Bollywood, is popular all over the country, and the Kolkatans love him more for his affinity towards the city and him being the owner of KKR. SRK indeed loves Kolkata and its cultures and this act of Badshah Khan proves it. SRK was busy with the release of “RA.One” but now that the preparations are over for the flick, he is getting engaged with different activites. Also his upcoming flick “Don 2 :The Chase Continues” is awaiting to be released on the big screen.
