Ever Melodious: Asha Bhosle
Mumbai: Internationally renowned Bollywood playback singer Asha Bhosle has done it again. She has made an entry into the Guinness Book of World Record for the largest number of duets, solos and chorus in studio. She has recorded 11000 songs in 20 Indian Languages starting from the Independence era 1947. The 78 year old singing maestro has entered the Guinness book and was awarded with the Guinness honour at the Asian Award Function held on 20th October, 2011 in London.
Quoting Asha she said that she is now a renowned singer. She thanks her fans and admirers for giving her so much acceptance and affection. She hopes they will continue doing it. She hopes that her fans will take note of her acting skill also. She gave privilege to Vishwas Nerurker who is a music researcher. He had helped her in getting the prestigious title.
Asha Bhosle is starting her acting career in “Maaee”. The film is directed by Mahesh Kodiyal. Cast of the film is Padmini Kolhapure as the daughter of Ashaji. Storyline of the film is that Asha Bhosle is left out by her only son and she goes to stay with her daughter and son –in-law. The film will release soon.
