Learning to live in Bollywood: Kalki Koechlin
Mumbai: The Girl in yellow boot, Kalki Koechlin has a down to earth approach in bollywood where she is trying hard to stamp her foot, by just doing the films which are of a new age and showing their own presence. This the film of her director husband Anuraag kashyap and she even co-authored it, she played a very challenging role and try to carve out the niche of own.
Being a french lineage, it is not easy for her to make space in the bollywood as it is being a bit xenophobic. Yet it the support of her husband Anuraag and above all her own hard work which is paying her most. But still there is a long way to go before being comfortably accepted in bollywood.
She says that though she is of French origin, she feels at ease in India, even for that she had to leave the smoking. Her character in the film “A girl in the yellow Boot” is of a smoker and for that purpose she borrowed the cigarettes of her husband. These are some fact of a very original human being, who is trying hard to come to term with the bollywood.
