Rishi Kapoor turns bad man in Agneepath remake
Mumbai: Rishi Kapoor, yesteryear chocolate hero, will be seen portraying a negative character for KJo’s remake of “Agneepath”. But Rishi Ji was at first very reluctant to play the character since he did not like the role much. In the remake of “Agneepath”, Rishi is going to be seen in a totally different image wearing kurtas and pajamas, putting kajal in his eyes and with a karakul cap. Never before was Rishi seen in such an avatar.
Karan Malhotra is the director of the remake version. And it was Malhotra who approached Rishi for the role. But Rishi ji did not like the role much, and even said that Malhotra must be joking. And if the film flops, only reason for its failure will be Rishi. But Malhotra was not ready to listen to anything and wanted Rishi to do the negative role. It was Rishi’s first time to do the role of a villain, and Malhotra was always there to help him do better. Karan Johar said that Rishi Ji was very enthusiastic while doing the film, it was his first time to try his hands on villainy.
“Agneepath” has got Hrithik Roshan as the hero and Priyanka Chopra as the heroine. The film will release on 13th of January.
