Ram Gopal VarmaBangalore: Brace up for another sequel – though, this time of a song. And the song in question is none other than the Urmila Matondkar sizzler –“Ho ja Rangeela Re” – from the 1995 hit Rangeela. Director Ram Gopal Verma (Ramu) has at last managed to get the rights to the song from its composer A.R. Rahman.

The sequel song will be fitted in his upcoming movie “Not a Love Story” featuring Mahie Gill. Not a Love Story is a sort of biographical movie on the times and travails of budding actress (now convicted for murder) Maria Susai Raj. Luckily for Ramu, the song had already been picturised and reports indicate that it was well-shot, though the tenor of the song is diametrically opposite to the original Rangeela song.

The major difference between the prequel and sequel song is that while the original was a peppy track, the latest song ispicturised as a slow and sad version. The song is to be used as background track. The“Rangeela” song was written by Mehboob and rendered by Asha Bhonsle.

The Rangeela-II song is sung by an upcoming singer Tarannum while Amir Mohile, who worked as a music director for Ramu in several of his ventures including “Sarkaar”, has rearranged the song.
