Esha Deol: The Dancing Doll
Mumbai: The belle of Indian cinema Esha Deol had long been obliterated, but here it is – she has beenworking on her new family project “good people”. So a big round of applause for “TELL ME O KHUDA”, a movie being produced by mother Hema Malini . But the real cynosure is not the movie its the blockbuster song of Hema Malini and Dharmendra “jab tak hain jaan” of sholay to which the daughter will be moving, showing her real jalwa.
Seems the movie producer is just remaking the song to save the plummeting career of her doll. But the question is, what if Hema Malini’s charismatic performance acts as an yardstick for the audience while watching Esha move? Esha had never been even 1% near to what her parents did during their time.
What she may be thinking a blessing in disguise can actually be a Satan. Had she been more eclectic might have been useless, but the irony is, the Producers had been eclectic about her ever since she started her profession. Definitely Esha is a dancer as well but being a dancer is not enough to save this ebbing career. She needs more of the flamboyancy, the art, so that when she appears she does not have the tag of being a daughter of the superstar, but importantly has an individuality of her own .
Well how much she has grown in her acting, and in her attitude over the years is yet to see. But lets hope that Hema ji’s charm as an actor and a producer works to re-establish her daughter in bollywood once again.
