Aamir Khan Anil KapoorLos Angeles: Aamir Khan’s movie Delhi Belly, which has been on the news for quite some time, is on spotlight again for the disco influenced number called ‘I hate you like I love you’. Producer Aamir Khan has performed as an item boy in this number which sees him dressed in 70’s fashion and him doing a disco gig.

After searching for a suitable heroine to do the number but not finding anyone, Aamir Khan himself decided to step in on his dancing shoes. When he was asked what were the various influences that inspired the video he mentioned that this video was an ode to the disco days of the 70’s and his look was influenced by various actors of yesteryears.

His retro look included a hairstyle influenced by Amitabh Bachchan and his dance was inspired by a combination of moves performed by Govinda, Mithun Chakraborty and Rishi Kapoor and his chest hair look was inspired by Anil Kapoor. Although Aamir Khan was prompt to say that it was all a joke and he didn’t mean to be demeaning, Anil Kapoor’s family and friends disagreed and did not seem to take Aamir’s comments in good spirit.

Anil Kapoor was in Los Angeles last week while the video was released and was not available for comment but sources confirm that he did not take Aamir’s comments too well when he heard about Aamir Khan’s ‘hairy’ tribute to him.
