Double Dhamal Review
Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Ashish Chowdhury, Javed Jaffri, Riteish Deshmukh, Kangana Ranaut, Mallika Sherawat; Director: Indra Kumar; Rating: 3.5 out of 5.
One more sequel to hit the screens this week, Double Dhamaal, an extension of Dhamaal (2007 release) will again feature the quartet of the four idiots seen in Dhamaal. Aadi (Arshad Warsi), Boman (Ashish Chowdhury), Manav (Javed Jaffri) and Roy (Riteish Deshmukh) have a single purpose in life – to become rich at any cost.
They choose Kabir (Sanjay Dutt) as their target and try to play havoc with his life to rake in the moolah for themselves. This near –two-and-half-hour comedy has the four jokers trying to outwit Sanjay Dutt by sneaking as partners into his business. Their cause is further accentuated by the presence of sizzling Mallika Sherawat as the girl friend of Kabir and Kangana Ranaut as his sexy sister. To their utter dismay, they realise that they have landed themselves in a messy situation with the business honcho palming them off with muddy waters of Mumbai as oil.
Their hopes of enriching themselves in an easy way being put cold water literally, they are forced to resort to the only way now – to take revenge. Added to that they are constantly chased by Satish Kaushik, the neighbourhood goon.
Though a bit loud, Double Dhamaal can be a good get – away from the humdrum of daily life.
