Ajay Devgan wins the battle against SRK
Mumbai: On Fathers’ Day Sunday Veeru Devgan must be a very contended father. The erstwhile stuntmaster’s protégé Ajay Devgan has knocked out superstar Shahrukh Khan in the first round itself in the current battle for supremacy. Vishal Bharadwaj, the director of ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ has chosen to direct Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Two States’ ahead of directing Shahrukh Khan. It is a sort of life coming full circle for Ajay Devgan. Back in 1995 the then struggling Ajay Devgan was dumped in favour of Shahrukh Khan in that year’s runaway hit movie – ‘Karan Arjun’.
Smarting under that rebuttal Ajay made it the hard way in the industry and with ‘Golmaal’ his star started looking up. Now comes the literal icing on the cake – at least for the present. Industry circles say that Vishal was vacillating between the two movies before finally deciding in favour of the yet to be named
Ajay Devgan starrer ahead of Shahrukh Khan’s movie. To the utter glee of Ajay, Vishal is seriously working on the new movie which is going to be a romantic comedy to the hilt. Going by the industry sources Vishal is holed up in a bungalow at Mussoorie poring over the script and the story.
