The young actor whois original Bollywood Paaji – Dharmendra’s nephew has managed to create a niche for himself in Bollywood. Abhay’s successful movie career includes ‘OyeLucky, Lucky Oye’, Ek Chaalis ki Last Local’, most recently ‘Aisha’ among others.

In his upcoming flick ‘Shanghai’, Abhay has donned a moustached look for the first time. This is political thriller, based on a bookcalled ‘Z’ by Greek novelist Vassil is Vassilikos. The story involves the plot to assassinate a dynamic politician. Abhay Deol plays a negative role in this movie. The movie also stars Emraan Hashmi.

Since time immemorial, moustaches have not been very popular in Bollywood. While their counterparts in the Southern film industry were moustached, Bollywood leading men always shied away from the growth on their upper lips. In the olden days, villains may have sported moustaches, but the hero always remained cleanshaven.

Things are changing in recent times. Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Surinder Sahni’ sported a moustache in ‘Rab Ne Bana di Jodi’, which gave a distinctive personality to the character. ‘Chulbul Pandey’ of‘Dabangg’ entered our hearts with his innocence and endearing moustache. In the coming year, we can see both Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan with moustaches in their next films.

Looks like moustaches are here to stay. And we are not complaing.
