Now, Hrithik enters Madame Tussauds
Its official now, after Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai, it’s now Hrithik’s turn. The ‘Kites’ star will soon find his wax statute rubbing shoulders with other Bollywood counterparts. “We began our association with the world-famous Madame Tussauds museum in 2000 when at the inaugural International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in 2000 at the Millennium Dome, Amitabh Bachchan was announced as the first ever Indian film star to be honoured in wax,” says Andre Timmins, one of the directors of Wizcraft.”
Hrithik who is currently shooting in Spain for Zoya Akhtar’s film will be back in Mumbai in September 1st week and in October the representatives of Madame Tussands will fly down to take his measurements. Early, December, there will be a trial show, followed by the unveiling of the real wax statue in mid January 2011 before a select group of media. It’s said that two statues will be made, first one for the Asia as they are planning to open wax Museum in an Asian country. We hear Hrithik has told them to show him in a ‘Dhoom’ or superhero ‘Krrish’ look.
