My Name is Khan Movie Review
“My Name Is Khan, but I am not a Terrorist”, not just said, but he proved it – Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan. SRK left no stones unturned in the movie, ‘My Name Is Khan’ to send a global message. It’s hit, of course, whatever the critics say.
The movie, ‘My Name Is Khan’ or MNIK is starred by Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Jimmy Shergill and Zarina Wahab. It has been directed by Karan Johar and produced by Gauri Khan and Hiroo Johar. It’s an emotional movie, which directly touches your heart and make you feel a part of it.
‘My Name Is Khan’ focuses on real issues aftermath 9/11, which changed the world and perceptions of the people in the West forever. “All Muslims are not Terrorists” is the message Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar wanted to spread.
Not surprisingly, the movie is doing great in India, Australia, the US, Europe and other parts of the world, including Pakistan, Berlin and Abu Dhabi. The movie aims at separating terrorism from religion. It could be termed as one of the best films of SRK and he should be proud of his performance.
Rizwan (SRK), who is suffering from Asperger’s syndrome, is the protagonist in the movie, ‘My Name Is Khan’. He does crazy things, but stands different from the crowd always. He falls in love with Mandira (Kajol), married her against the wishes of the family and settled happily.
Rizwan’s life changed after 9/11, his wife dumps him, friends desert him. But he did not give up. He toured across America and met the President of the United States to let him know that “His Name Is Khan, but He is not a Terrorist”.
Shah Rukh, Kajol and Zarina Wahab are at their best, when it comes to acting and performance. The film loses some balance in the middle, by taking political colour, but still it managed to hold up to the expectations.
MNIK is not a mediocre movie. The story, theme, acting, music all are perfect. And, for the SRK fans, it will be better than anything else. The movie is already running house full in all theatres in India and abroad. It will be smashing hit at the Box Office, there is no doubt about this.
