Shiney Ahuja withdraws bail plea in Rape case
Shiney Ahuja who is facing charges of raping his domestic help, withdrew his bail petition filed in a sessions court since the case has been transferred to a fast track court.
He will now have to file a fresh petition in the fast track court to seek bail, stated Ahuja’s lawyer Srikant Shivade.
Principal judge M T Joshi had announced the transfer of the case to a fast track court in Sewri. It can be recalled that Chief Minister Ashok Chavan had assured to put the trial on the fast track soon after the arrest of the actor.
Also, Ahuja’s earlier bail plea had been rejected on July 8 by a sessions court which held that prima facie case was made out against him.
