Minissha Lamba bags Karan Johar’s next movie
There’s a lot that happens in this industry by chance, even luck. Actress Minissha Lamba should know. She has just landed a role in Rensil D’Silva’s debut venture, yet untitled, which is being produced by Karan Johar.
Minissha will be cast opposite Vivek Oberoi. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. It seems that the role had first gone to Tara Sharma, who is married to Roopak Saluja. But when she realized that she was pregnant, the actress backed out of the project. The schedule was to take place in New York in December but has now been postponed to May due to technical reasons. Tara is due in July and has been advised not to travel, leaving her with no other option but to opt out of the movie. Karan and Rensil were very understanding and happy for the actress who was looking forward to working with Rensil. With a role to cast, the makers opted for Minissha, who should consider herself lucky to get this opportunity.
As for Tara, she has two films on hand, one is Mocktail, which also stars Purab Kohli, Tisca Chopra and Koel Purie. The actress is completing her dubbing for this movie. The second film is Suna Na, which has her playing a pregnant single woman, something that she need not play act at anymore as she is really pregnant.
