John Abraham to make singing debut in Aashayein
Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt — they’ve all done it. We’re talking about singing. But John Abraham’s gone one step further. The hunk-alicious actor is going to make his singing debut not inside a recording studio, but in front of a live audience at Bandra amphitheatre this evening! John has been practising every day for three hours with music composers Salim-Suleiman who have also composed music for his forthcoming film Aashayein.
Incidentally, the actor will be singing the track Ab Hai Ujala from the film at the musical evening which will also see the likes of Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal and Zubin perform on stage. John, naturally, is a little nervous at the prospect of singing in front of so many people but is game for it. “Initially I was hesitant, but I liked the idea. I am not that great a singer but that’s all right I guess. I will make a sincere effort,” says John. Music composer Salim adds, “John has an ear for music and since the song is so inspirational, I’m sure people will appreciate him whether he hits the right note or not.” Go rock the stage, Johnny boy.
