Dhoom Dhadaka Movie Review
Shashi Ranjan`s ‘Dhoom Dhadaka’, a film by Shashi Ranjan, is a racy comedy, which has a total of 14 veteran actors stars veteran actors Anupam Kher, Gulshan Grover, Satish Kaushik and Satish Shah, as well as Shaad Randhawa, Aarti Chhabria, Sammir Dattani, Shama Sikandar and debutant Zac.
Anupam Kher plays a don who is hunting for his heir. The film opens with Mungilal (Kher) losing his position as the top don of Mumbai at the All Asia Mafia Meet because he doesn`t have an heir. He had been living in Bangkok for the past 15 years. He left Mumbai & settled here after the heat of law started falling on him in India.
Within no time, three people show up at Mungilal`s Bangkok estate claiming to be his long lost his nephew. They are conman Ranbir (Sammir Dattani), wannabe actor Rahul (Shaad Randhawa) and item girl Shivani Sawant (Aarti Chhabria). The comic figure out who is the real Kamal, Mungilal and Jinesh hatch crazy plans to test them, which lead to hilarious situations.
Mungilal is forced to search for his sister as she has a child named Kamal. The search takes Mungilal and his sidekick Jignesh (Shah) from Bangkok to Mumbai, where they hire a detective, Johnny English (Kaushik).
The film’s music by Roop Kumar Rathod is quite good. The title song ‘Karange Dhoom Dadaka’ is a foot-tapping number Punjabi item number.
Anupam Kher, Gulshan Grover and Satish Shah give ace performances. Jackie Shroff attempts a cameo in Marlon Brando`s Godfather act, which is hilarious. Comedy artist Bhavana Balsavar, features as Mungilal`s estranged sister, and manages to steal the show in just a few minutes.
All in all, ‘Dhoom Dadakka’ is a time pass material.
