Bold and bubbly Nargis speaks about her role of Devdasi in Pranali

The bold and bubbly air hostess of Garam Masala, Nargis, has dared to play a deglamourised role in her second film itself. Nargis plays the lead role in Pranali, a film that traces the journey of a devdasi forced into prostitution. “It’s a different subject and I am not just saying it. It’s quite bold and hard-hitting,” says Nargis. Ask her to justify her long hiatus post Garam Masala and she says, “It’s not like I wasn’t offered work. It was just not worthwhile.” She adds, “I’m all set to do another film with Priyadarshan soon.”
