Arshad WarsiIn the case of Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda, television became a part of their lives when their Bollywood journey was on the downswing. But in Arshad Warsi?s case, it is the opposite. Arshad, who is riding high on the wave of Munnabhai MBBS and Lagey Raho Munnabhai, has turned towards television now, as the host of Bigg Boss, a reality show which will have 13 celebrities who will be constantly under surveillance by cameras. So why this decision when he?s at the peak of his career? “I know, I have been asked this question by a lot of people,” smiles Arshad. According to him, he will be himself on the small screen, whereas the big screen is meant for his acting.

“Besides, I do what I believe in and and at this moment, I think this is a good show to be a part of,” he says.

Arshad had made his debut as the hero in Tere Mere Sapne, but it was his sidekick character of Circuit that actually got him the attention. How does he feel about that? “Success can come to you in various forms. I?m reaping the benefits today and that?s what that matters,” he says philosophically. But ask him about the rumour that actors are refusing to work with him because they feel he will overshadow them and he exclaims, “I hope that`s not true! I`ll be jobless if they refuse to work with me.” Arshad believes that all good actors like to work with other actors, as they get to learn from them. The actor’s got a whole line up of films to look forward to, where he?s not the central character. “I`m doing Kabir Kaushik`s,Vikram Bhatt?s and Subi Samuel`s film….” he trails off. Guess Circuit`s got his connection right this time around!
